My Digital Citizenship Poster is about the Filter Bubble and how it affects everyone on the internet on the day-to-day. The Filter Bubble is a process that occurs when companies gather information on their users then use an algorithm to filter out what that person sees so that the content is tailored to each user. The filter bubble effect is an issue though, because users miss out on other important information because it’s been filtered out. Companies known to do this include but are not limited to: Google, Facebook, Netflix, Twitter, Snapchat, and Pinterest.
